While speaking to Incubees in an interview, Angad Chachra, Founder of The Bar Consultants told us that “we are a hospitality and restaurant consulting company. We provide hospitality, food and beverage consulting solutions to new as well as existing setups’’.

The Bar Consultants provide several services such as consultation, complete setup, strategic planning, and conceptualization.

Incubees: Tell us about your product or services.

Angad Chachra: The Bar Consultants is a Restaurant/Hospitality Consulting firm, we proudly call ourselves food & beverage business specialists.

We offer comprehensive and end-to-end consulting services to hospitality/food & beverage businesses of all types and sizes.

Be it fine dining restaurants, casual cafes, food courts, QSRs, and food trucks to bars, pubs, microbreweries, and lounges to complete Hotel setup with start-to-end solutions, if it’s hotels and restaurants it’s in our wheelhouse. Whether you are a novice setting up a new venture or an established business in need of a complete transformation, we work on conceptualizing every tiny detail that helps bring great hotel and food & beverage to life.


Incubees: What makes your product/services unique and what competition do you see in India and globally? 

Angad Chachra: There are very few one-stop solution hospitality consultants capable of giving start-to-end solutions for the food & beverage and hospitality industry. The current competition is the price war between the big & small consultants in the market.


Incubees: What are the challenges you see in the market at this point?

Angad Chachra: The challenge is the lack of knowledge about what a consultant is and how do they work. It is very common for people to think that they can do most of the things themselves while setting up their business. Also, people find it very difficult to spend money of consulting services as it is intangible and people around us like to spend money majorly on the tangibles.


Incubees: Tell us about your team and what inspires them. 

Angad Chachra: The team is completely inspired by excellence for their passion.


Incubees: Where do you see your product/service reaching in the next five years?

Angad Chachra: In the last five years, we have worked with 300 food & beverage/ hospitality projects. We aim to work with 500 in the next five years and create an impact with sustainable and eco-luxury concepts.


Incubees: Do you have plans to raise funding to grow your business or allow your business to grow organically?

Angad Chachra: Yes, we do plan to raise funds in the future and are trying to figure out how.


Incubees: What are the challenges you face as a start-up?

Angad Chachra: There are quite a few challenges that we face:

  1. Being a start-up with a young team, we often get nagged for experience and maturity.
  2. Clients at times think they can get the work done without paying by considering the opportunity as cost.
  3. Being young we have a very different atmosphere at our workplace which is often not seen right by many and people feel we are too influenced by the western work culture.
  4. Following up on payment is one of the biggest challenges for a start-up. I guess as one doesn’t want to sound pushy and at the same time doesn’t want to let go of good projects due to payment issues.
