Rs 100 crore set aside by Paytm for marketing of UPI, Postpaid (BNPL) & Wallet businesses
Paytm, India’s biggest consumer and merchant ecosystem, stated on Tuesday that it and its partners will spend Rs. 100 crores on marketing efforts over the Christmas season.
To promote digital payments in India and educate consumers about Paytm UPI for money transfers, Paytm Wallet, and Paytm Postpaid (Buy Now, Pay Later) for expenditures, these ads will be coordinated.
The business has also launched “Paytm Cashback Dhamaka,” a cashback festival that will begin on October 14 and will give customers the opportunity to win cashback for money transfers, online and offline payments, and recharges made using the app. The goal is to make interesting offers and encourage more people to utilise Paytm’s digital payment instruments around the country. The initiative will be implemented in all Indian districts, from merchant partners’ businesses to major retail outlets and internet platforms. Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka will be given special attention.
During the peak festival season (October 14-November 14), 10 fortunate winners will win Rs 1 lakh each on a daily basis, 10,000 customers will receive Rs 100 cashback, and another 10,000 users will receive Rs 50 cashback. Users may win up to Rs 10 lakh every day as Diwali approaches (November 1-3). Users may also win an iPhone 13, tickets to the T20 World Cup, shopping vouchers from major companies such as Levi’s, Leaf headphones, and many other prizes.
Paytm users may get cashback on mobile, broadband DTH recharges, utility bill payments, money transfers, buying transport (flight/bus/train) tickets, paying credit card bills, booking cinema tickets, FASTag payments, transactions at online and offline Kirana stores, and much more.
The offer is valid for payments made using all the company’s primary payment mechanisms, including Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Postpaid (Buy Now, Pay Later), and credit/debit cards.
