Capstone Ventures led Seed funding secured by fashion & lifestyle platform Absolute Brands
With the help of other angel investors, the fashion and lifestyle platform Absolute Brands and Retail has raised $2.5 million (roughly Rs 21 crore) in a seed round of funding led by Capstone Ventures.
According to a press release from Absolute Brands, the money will be used to build an offline retail presence and improve the omnichannel customer experience.
Absolute Brands, established in 2023 by Vishnu Prasad, aims to create a network of in-house fashion apparel brands for both current and potential customers. Big Hello, the startup’s first clothing line, sells fashionable, well-made clothing that is shaped to fit the distinctive curves and contours of plus-size Indian people. Over the next three months, the company plans to open the first batch of Big Hello stores in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
The company claims that it will also introduce three new fashion brands that aim to break the mold, open up new markets, and reinvent the status quo.
By utilising state-of-the-art technologies and an omnichannel shopping presence, the company intends to revolutionise the fashion shopping experience by providing customised solutions that align with individual preferences, values, and requirements.
Absolute brands may face direct or indirect competition from businesses such as Hilo Design, Aastey, The Mad Dresser, Snitch, Flyrobe, and Bombay Shirt Company, to name a few.
