US biotech company Rybodyn supported by Singapore’s AngelCentral

AngelCentral, a Singapore-based investor, revealed on Wednesday that its members have successfully formed its first BioTech syndicate to invest in RyboDyn Inc., a US biotechnology business that is leading the way in the development of immunotherapies that target the dark genome.
According to a statement from AngelCentral, this investment backs RyboDyn Inc.’s seed round, which was supported by Genedant, SeaX Ventures, SOSV, Swell VC, Massive Tech Ventures, and P2V.
With the funds, RyboDyn Inc. will be able to extend its proprietary dataset, expedite platform execution, and advance lead pipeline prospects into IND-enabling trials.
Conventional medications are known to depend on well-established protein targets, such as EGFR or HER2, which many individuals do not have.
RyboDyn decodes the Dark Transcriptome to reveal an untapped landscape of disease-specific proteins concealed inside the 98% of the human genome that was previously written off as non-coding “junk” DNA—that is, DNA segments that lack direct instructions for those conventional, standard proteins.
According to the statement, this investment indicates top-tier biotech investors’ strong belief in firms using AI to open up new avenues in human biology.
RyboDyn claimed that it is providing patients with difficult-to-treat tumors and few therapy options with much-needed hope by opening up crucial new therapeutic routes through its patented platform.
“The emotional and financial impacts on families for these individuals are great,
“Rybodyn’s approach could eventually lead to drug developments with a significantly better safety profile and higher efficacy, potentially reducing the grueling side effects or offering new hope where current treatments are failing or are too painful to endure,” said Jeremy Tay, syndicate lead.
