African startups in digital security Prembly and Peleza announced strategic partnership
The Prembly Group of Nigeria and Peleza, a well-known background check and KYB provider in East Africa, have announced a merger that will make the new company the most reliable provider of data infrastructure and compliance solutions for emerging markets.
Having been founded in 2021, Prembly has grown rapidly to become a major player in the infrastructure and digital security sectors, assisting multinational corporations and enterprises in their efforts to enter emerging markets and establish the continent as their next growth center.
Contrarily, Kenya’s Peleza has created AI-powered solutions for instantaneous and seamless identity verification, background checks, and business onboarding to the full client lifecycle and user-based management. These solutions include KYC, KYB, and background checks.
According to the partners, the two businesses merged to form the most reliable provider of data infrastructure and compliance solutions for emerging markets.
“The merger with Peleza deepens our industry knowledge and elevates our strengths and technologies, empowering us to exceed our clients’ expectations worldwide. We are also very excited to have Marita, with over 15 years of experience, join our leadership team at the newly formed Prembly Group to drive innovation and enhance our strategic initiatives,” said Lanre Ogungbe, founder and CEO of Prembly.
This strategic partnership, which will operate under the single Prembly Group brand, will use its synergies to improve service delivery in a number of industries, including finance, telecommunications, e-commerce, and more. Consumers can anticipate improved features in regulatory compliance, risk management, background checks, and identity verification programs that are designed to satisfy changing business requirements.
