AI-powered chatbot Impress.ai raised funding in new round

According to media reports, Impress.ai, an AI-powered chatbot for recruiters based in Singapore, has recently raised a new round, CEO and co-founder Sudhanshu Ahuja confirmed this.

The business declined to give further information about the raise. However, the company raised nearly $6 million, according to VentureCap Insights, which monitors regulatory filings in the city-state. Javelin Startup Holdings, Reapra, and Seeds Capital were among the investors who took part.

The new funds, the CEO continued, would be put to use for market expansion throughout Southeast Asia. Users can be found in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the US, and the UK, according to Impress.ai.

“We are doubling down on Indonesia on the back of recent successes there and are expanding through partnerships in Southeast Asian markets,” Ahuja said.

Ahuja added that the business recently formed a number of reseller and product partnerships, the specifics of which are currently being kept under wraps.

Impress.ai, a company founded in 2017, assists companies in evaluating potential new hires and selecting the best candidates from a pool of job applicants. In 2021, Summit 29K led a $3 million pre-series A round of funding for Impress.ai in which Seeds Capital also invested.
