Apparel brand Imara acquired by GOAT Brand Labs
Imara, a well-known women’s ethnic wear brand with celebrity endorsements, has just been acquired by GOAT Brand Labs, strengthening its portfolio of ethnic lifestyle companies for 2023.
Imara has increased its presence in more than 70 physical stores, Shoppers Stop, a key partner of GOAT Brand Labs, and online platforms like Myntra after finding favor with the targeted premium women clients.
Women’s ethnic clothing brand trueBrowns and India’s first celebrity-styled premium women’s apparel brand “The Label Life” were both bought by GOAT Brand Labs in 2022 after each company had a 10x growth in only one year.
Rishi Vasudev, CEO & Co-founder, G.O.A.T Brand Labs, said, “We heartily thank Anjana Reddy for trusting G.O.A.T to help scale Imara in reaching newer heights. Having deeply rooted itself in the Indian premium apparel segment with a mixed presence in both online and offline channels – especially G.O.A.T’s strategic partner Shoppers Stop, Imara has great potential to be promoted further within the country and globally. We at G.O.A.T are strategizing concrete opportunities to make Imara available globally.”
