D2C brand WickedGud received over Rs 2 Cr investment from Shilpa Shetty
Direct-to-consumer (D2C) food product company WickedGud has raised Rs 2.25 crore under the leadership of actress Shilpa Shetty. Previously, Titan Capital, Mumbai Angels, NB Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, Venture Catalyst, and co-founder of boAt Aman Gupta supported WickedGud.
WickedGud is a D2C startup founded in 2021 by Bhuman Dani, Monish Debnath, and Soumalya Biswas with the goal of decluttering Indian kitchens one indulgent food item at a time. Its products are produced using cutting-edge steaming and convection air drying (SCAD) technology and are made with healthy ingredients.
According to WickedGud, the company’s exposure increased during the grand finale of Shark Tank India 2, which paved the way for its successful expansion into foreign markets like the UAE, Singapore, Mauritius, and Nepal. The company’s goods are available for direct purchase from its website as well as from third parties like Amazon, Blinkit, BigBasket, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Flipkart.
WickedGud claims to have grown by over 300% in the last year without providing any specific figures, despite the fact that the company has not yet submitted its FY23 numbers.
