A B2B startup company called Gokomodo provides services for digital distribution, digital commerce, and procurement. Customers may also purchase competing goods via the business’ e-commerce shop.
The platform intends to promote accessibility, transparency in product procurement, and efficiency for agribusiness firms and smallholder farmers. It also provides logistical services through its partnership with Indonesia’s Waresix, enabling these farmers to share savings.
Samuel Tirtasaptura, formerly of Sampoerna Agro, and William Pramana, formerly of Okadoc, created Gokomodo in 2019.
“Our aim is to leverage technology to bridge the gap between large corporates and smallholder farmers, supporting the latter by leveraging our buying power and infrastructure on their behalf,” said Pramana.
The company said that since its start; it has welcomed 3,000 businesses into its ecosystem, among them Sinar Mas, First Resources, and Sampoerna Agro.
In order to increase penetration and reach underserved regions in Indonesia, Gokomodo will probably extend its product line, grow its clientele, strengthen its digital platform, and construct physical distribution centres in remote locations.
