Funstop Games raised $5 M Series A funding
In a Series A funding round led by 360 ONE Asset and InfoEdge Ventures, the casual gaming company Funstop Games has raised $5 million. InfoEdge Ventures has doubled down on its investment from a prior round.
According to a press release from Funstop Games, the money raised will be utilized to develop new games, boost its presence in the casual gaming market, develop ad-tech skills, and speed up game development.
Funstop Games, which was co-founded in 2020 by Prashanth Vijay and Tamesh Sharma, creates and releases a range of mobile games with in-app purchases that let users purchase virtual goods and other game-related content.
The Delhi-based business wants to grow quickly on a worldwide level while focusing on a variety of genres and bolstering its growth plan in India. In the spiritual gaming market, the studio also intends to release more games.
A new category called “spiritual gaming” has been created by Funstop, which claims that its well-liked Shri Ram Mandir Game has received over 25 million downloads. With more than 30 games in its portfolio, the startup also reports $4 million in revenue to date. It has over 100 million downloads worldwide, with games like Perfect Time and Airport Rush leading the pack with over 75 million downloads each.
Zuraverse, HighXP, Tuttifrutti Interactive, Teamsid Gaming, Genieee, and Wala Interactive are some other well-known casual gaming startups in India.
