Logistics firm Swift Logistics Solutions acquired by GoTo for $38 M

According to a document received from the Indonesian Stock Exchange, GoTo Group, an Indonesian software powerhouse, has bought Swift Logistics Solutions for 583 billion rupiah (US$38 million) (IDX).

Through GoTo’s logistics division, GoSend, the investment was made as part of the company’s reorganisation and consolidation plan. Tokopedia’s affiliate Swift provides fulfillment and shipping services.

Tokopedia owned 66.7% of Swift’s shares before the transaction. Now that the deal has been made, GoSend owns 99.8% of the shares. Swift was purchased by Tokopedia in 2021; Tokopedia also has a fulfillment company named Dilayani Tokopedia.

This would boost GoTo’s logistics division, which currently provides services including same-day and immediate delivery, intercity delivery, and large-volume delivery.
