Africa’s Innovation Era: Building Sustainable Institutions for Global Influence and Continental Impact is the theme of the 11th AfriLabs Annual Gathering, which will take place in Cotonou, Benin, in November.
With more than 500 member hubs spread across 53 African nations, AfriLabs is the largest pan-African network of innovation and technology centers, having been established in 2011.
Every year, it holds its Annual Gathering in various major cities around the continent. This year, it travels to Cotonou, where it will be held from November 18–20, making Benin the first Francophone country to do so.
“The 2026 edition makes history as the AfriLabs Annual Gathering heads to a Francophone country for the very first time. This milestone reflects AfriLabs’ commitment to fostering a truly inclusive, pan-African innovation ecosystem that bridges linguistic, geographic, and regional divides while creating greater opportunities for collaboration across the continent,” said René Parker, board chair of AfriLabs.
