$5 M to be invested in early-stage AI startups by Change Engine accelerator program

Over the next five years, Change Engine, a startup accelerator, plans to invest more than $5 million in Indian early-stage AI startups. The program’s main goal is to support six high-potential AI startups every year, promoting advancements in machine learning stack technologies and commercial applications for international markets.

Change Engine claims that it wants to develop second-generation AI products from India—solutions that offer strong, scalable, and customized innovations that go beyond surface-level implementations. During its six-month program, startups can access a global network of mentors, a state-of-the-art sandbox environment, and comprehensive product development support.

Every year, it will invest $50,000 in six startups, followed by syndication of up to $150K, opening the door for more than $5M in funding over the following three years.

Change Engine asserts that it has created the AI ecosystem in Delhi NCR by organizing events like the AI Product Bootcamp at IIT Delhi, where more than 40 AI enthusiasts got practical instruction from seasoned professionals from Google, Meta, and Amazon. Prior research has also focused on comprehending India’s AI research in comparison to other nations.

According to Change Engine, some of its past cohorts have accomplished noteworthy feats. For example, Sonic Lambs was featured on Shark Tank Season 4 and raised Rs 50L, while CallPrep was highlighted in Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund list.

The Change Engine accelerator’s Customer Advisory Board is one of its features; it brings together business executives from leading US companies, such as Amazon, Google, McKinsey, and Adobe, to validate ideas, offer practical insights, and improve go-to-market tactics.
