$69 M venture-building programme launched by Tamwilcom to support 800 Moroccan startups

Moroccan public financing institution Tamwilcom has announced the launch of its new “Startup Venture Building” programme, a MAD 700 million ($69 million) initiative aimed at supporting 800 startups over the next three years.
The programme introduces a structured venture-building approach, combining financial support with hands-on operational guidance to support founders across the full startup lifecycle, from ideation to market expansion.
Unlike previous initiatives, the programme places strong emphasis on continuous support, including monthly stipends for founders, access to prototype development funding, and financing tools such as loans of up to MAD 2 million.
A key pillar of the initiative is improving market access by connecting startups with established corporates, enabling early commercial partnerships and accelerating revenue generation.
Tamwilcom has partnered with a mix of local and international organisations, including Technopark, CEED Maroc, Flat6Labs, and 500 Global, to deliver a coordinated and integrated support ecosystem.
The initiative reflects Morocco’s broader strategy to strengthen its startup infrastructure, build a scalable pipeline of high-growth companies, and position the country as a leading innovation hub in Africa.
