Gaming tech startup ARC raises Rs 10.5 Cr Pre-seed funding from Chimera, MIXI
In a pre-seed fundraising round led by Chimera VC and MIXI Global Investments, Kerala-based gaming technology startup ARC has raised Rs 10.5 crore. Dhruv Vohra, Director at Meta APAC, participated personally.
In addition to supporting the development of OWL OS and ARC’s gaming software platform, the additional funds will be utilized to expedite hardware engineering, product validation, manufacturing, and supply-chain preparedness. Additionally, the business will grow its workforce, go-to-market skills, and key alliances.
ARC, which was founded by Jobin Joseph and Kaustubh K. Jadhav, is working on the ARC X1, a portable gaming system designed to increase Indian players’ access to specialized gaming technology. The business is developing its own stack of hardware and software, including OWL OS, a proprietary game operating system.
The Qualcomm-powered ARM-based architecture of the ARC X1 is intended to facilitate cloud gaming, PC game compatibility, and Android gaming.
Prior to its commercial launch, the firm has partnered with Qualcomm and has already surpassed 50,000 waitlist sign-ups. In order to improve the product before to launch, ARC is also incorporating gamers in early testing and feedback.
