For 5th edition of IndiaNext, UltraTech Cement opens entries
UltraTech Cement welcomed architects, professionals, and young individuals from the engineering and architectural communities to register for the fifth edition of its ‘IndiaNext’ programme on Sunday.
The ‘IndiaNext’ initiative is a collaborative and forward-thinking platform that brings together the ideas and expertise of practising engineers, architects, and the best students in the engineering and architecture fields to develop solutions to some of the country’s most pressing infrastructure issues.
The competition entry kits and details are available at www.ultratechindianext.com, and the deadline for submissions is January 31, 2022.
The theme of this year’s IndiaNext initiative is ‘Build with Speed,’ in which India’s diverse talent pool of engineers, architects, and designers will compete to select a project from an urban or rural setting and propose an innovative design that will make an impact and help India achieve its Sustainable Development Goals.
This topic aspires to create house designs that can rewrite India’s growth storey using cutting-edge technology, processes, and materials. The subject encourages participants to take on the daunting task of meeting the nation’s housing development goals in a timely manner.
Participants will focus on developing housing options targeted at rehabilitating migrant workers or slum-dwellers, depending on the urban area they choose. Those who chose the rural setting will concentrate on providing housing options for the homeless and migratory workers who live in India’s countryside. In addition, entries in the rural environment may look at mass low-cost homes for communities that are anticipated to benefit from government programmes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G).
This year, all entries will be accepted online and judged by an experienced panel of architects on a variety of criteria.
