$2.7 M Seed funding received by edtech firm Saasguru

A seed fundraising round headed by Square Peg Capital and including Black Nova and Antler secured A$4 million (about US $2.7 million) for the Australian edtech company Saasguru.

Saasguru, a cloud computing skills development platform, was founded just a year ago to assist recent graduates and professionals. Additionally, it enables businesses to build teams of cloud experts.

The company presently provides 15 programs with a focus on several platforms, including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure. It has worked with more than 40,000 students from 20 different countries and more than 20 cloud consulting firms.

The business predicted that by 2025, demand for cloud computing talents in Asia and the Pacific will quadruple. By then, the cloud computing industry would need 109 million trained workers, up from just 37 million in 2020.

Atif Saad and Amit Choudhary founded Saasguru. In 2014, the pair founded Saasfocus, a Salesforce consulting business that Cognizant eventually purchased in 2018.

Saasguru received $850,000 in pre-seed investment earlier this year.
