X-PITCH, a global deeptech startups contest now accepting entries
Singapore is now accepting applications for X-PITCH, an annual startup competition for international deeptech startups.
The contest’s theme, “Accelerating Deeptech,” highlights the cutting edge of technological advancements in four areas: advanced manufacturing, healthcare, sustainability, and the digital economy, according to a statement released by X-PITCH last Friday.
The announcement states that the top three teams will receive investments totaling at least $1 million, and ten awards will be given out at the Grand Finale on November 10.
Through a series of intense pitches, X-PITCH said that participants in the startup version of the X Games win prizes and investments.
According to the article, X-PITCH presents founders with a great opportunity to reevaluate their business and significantly enhance their pitch in addition to being a challenge.
It should be mentioned that the competition has been held in mass rapid transit (MRT), self-driving buses, and skyscraper elevators since 2018.
The Singapore River will host the event this year.
In the last two years, X-PITCH, a historic startup competition in Asia, has drawn 100,000 participants from more than fifty countries and more than 8,000 startups.
Through the event, the winners successfully raised $38 million in total and made connections with corporations, investors, government agencies, and accelerators to work together.
“We are hosting X-PITCH in Singapore for the first time. Through this platform, we hope to help startups from all over the world connect to the vibrant market of the city-state and Southeast Asia,
“Like previous years, the competition format is also a global first. This time, we are going to do it on bumboats!” said K. Yu, Organizing Committee Chair of X-PITCH 2023.
