Gaming startup STAN raised $2.7 M Pre-Series A funding
In its pre-Series A round, Bengaluru-based gaming startup STAN raised $2.7 million from new investors including Aptos Labs, Pix Capital, Maelstrom Fund, GFR Fund, and returning General Catalyst backers. Coinswitch Ventures, TDV Partners, Climber Capital, and CoinDCX Ventures all contributed to the round.
In May 2022, the startup successfully raised $2.5 million from seed funding led by General Catalyst, which also included participation from Better Capital, Eximius Ventures, and other investors.
The funds that will be raised will be utilized to expand the platform’s fan base, monetize it, and tap into the creator supply. Stan has been trying to promote shared interests among the nation’s active gaming creators.
Parth Chadha founded STAN, a platform that allows creators to create, monetize communities, and connect users with their favorite game developers and celebrities through digital collectibles, chat or audio rooms, and exclusive celebrity communities, as well as user interaction.
In just 1.5 years, STAN claims to have over 4 million users. Due to their natural growth, 75% of users are from larger parts of India, including Tier II and Tier III cities. The platform records 50 million microtransactions annually, with a requisition rate of 70% for users who pay.
