Dr Clear Aligners secured $8 M Series A funding from Insignia Ventures Partners

The Singapore-based dental clear aligner company Dr. Clear Aligners (DCA) has announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round, which included a $8 million investment from Insignia Ventures Partners.

According to a statement released by DCA on Thursday, this strategic investment will expedite Dr. Clear Aligners’ mission to make orthodontic treatment affordable and accessible for everyone, fostering global expansion and advancing technological capabilities.

As per the statement, Insignia Ventures Partners’ investment will offer Dr. Clear Aligners more than just financial support; it will also establish a strategic partnership that will aid in the company’s expansion into new markets, especially in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and strengthen its existing market presence.

Along with enhancing the orthodontic team’s capabilities, the funding will be utilized to advance artificial intelligence research and development.

“This funding will support our mission to make orthodontic treatment more accessible and convenient for every individual,

“We are excited to partner with Insignia Ventures Partners, whose expertise will be invaluable as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey,” said Ryan Teo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Dr Clear Aligners.

The brand’s differentiation in the market, where the combination of cutting-edge technology and in-house orthodontic expertise makes clear aligner treatments faster, better, and more affordable, is attributed, according to the statement, to the support received from this funding round for Dr. Clear Aligners innovation in the orthodontic experience, such as its patented AI technology for clear aligner monitoring post-treatment.

The way that Dr. Clear Aligners handles the clear aligner treatment process aligns with the increasing demand for clear aligners, which is being driven by factors like comfort, aesthetic appeal, and less pain than traditional braces. This puts the company at the forefront of a major trend in the industry.

“Vast improvements in aligner material, treatment planning technology, and greater adoption among dental practitioners have opened numerous avenues for patients to opt for clear aligner treatment, and Dr Clear Aligners is well-positioned to capitalize on this as a leading provider in APAC,

“We are privileged to be partnered with Ryan, Kevin, Jayden, and their team as they take their technology-driven approach to more markets globally and deepen their ecosystem within
the industry,” said Yinglan Tan, Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures Partners.

Dr. Clear Aligners, which was founded in April 2020 by Ryan Teo, Kevin Lim, and Jayden Cheng, has expanded quickly, functioning in seven countries and maintaining a strong network of more than a thousand partner clinics.

In addition, the business owns and runs eleven dental offices with full licenses that provide an extensive array of dental services.
