Aerial intelligence platform Aereo raised $1.8 M Series B funding

Aereo, an aerial intelligence platform, has raised $1.8 million in its Series B funding round, which is being led by JSW Ventures.

In July of this year, Aereo had already raised $15 million in the same financing round headed by 360 ONE Asset, with participation from its current investors StartupXseed Ventures and Navam Capital.

According to a press release from Aereo, the new funding will be used to boost the company’s standing as a leading provider of cutting-edge commercial drone solutions and quicken its expansion into foreign markets.

Aereo, which was co-founded in 2013 by Vipul Singh and Suhas Banshiwala, improves asset management in industries like mining, infrastructure, urban and rural development, and land records by utilizing cutting-edge drone technology and AI-driven data analytics.

Land record digitization, quality inspections, and inventory assessments are among the extensive services provided by the company.

The company, which is based in Bengaluru, asserts that it has completed extensive government projects, including mapping more than 45,000 villages for the SVAMITVA scheme and more than 50,000 square kilometers for the Digital India Land Record Modernization Program (DILRMP). It further asserts that it has reached EBITDA profitability.

Aereo is primarily concerned with intellectual property, and it has filed 15 patents covering developments in drone design, hardware, and predictive flight planning. It might contend with other businesses in this field, including IdeaForge, Garuda Aerospace, DroneAcharya Aerial, Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, and Skylark Drones, either directly or indirectly.
