TIEA Connectors raised Rs 22 Cr co-led by Jamwant Ventures, Valour Capital

In its most recent funding round, TIEA Connectors, a Bengaluru-based business that specializes in the design, development, and production of customized industrial electronic and electrical interconnect solutions, raised Rs 22 crore ($2.57 million). 8X Ventures and IvyCap participated in the round, which was led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital.

Plantain Tree Ventures had previously contributed $1.43 million to the Dharwad-based business.

According to a press release from TIEA Connectors, the money raised will be utilized to expand business operations, spur innovation, and keep providing solutions to clients.

Incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), TIEA Connectors was co-founded in 2019 by Ajith Sasidharan and Punit Shridhar Joshi. The two organizations continue to work together on innovative projects. Having received numerous patents, it is still dedicated to promoting technological advancement and strengthening India’s own ESDM capabilities.

In a variety of industries, such as consumer electronics, defense, aerospace, and electric vehicles (EV), TIEA Connectors claims that its products are vital parts. With a focus on designing, developing, and producing different kinds of interconnect solutions, the company says it has worked with top EV, aerospace, and defense industry leaders.

TIEA is currently running at 90% manufacturing capacity and claims to have grown four times in FY25.

With an emphasis on performance, cost effectiveness, and research and development—particularly in wireless power transfer and fire-retardant connectors—TIEA plays a vital role in manufacturing high-quality components that have historically been imported.
