MS Dhoni joins Kuku TV as brand ambassador; makes investment in AI-driven storytelling platform

Former Indian cricket player MS Dhoni has invested in Kuku, an AI-driven storytelling platform, and joined the company as a brand ambassador for its microdrama app, Kuku TV.
In order to promote its short-form content offerings, Kuku has started a campaign with Dhoni as part of the partnership.
With the release of Indian Institute of Zombies (IIZ), the company’s first Hindi feature film, the development coincides with its expansion into theatrical production.
Kuku runs a number of content platforms, such as Guru for edutainment, Kuku FM for audio storytelling, and Kuku TV for short-form video content. Additionally, the company has started to diversify into theatrical content.
Since its founding in 2018 by Lal Chand Bisu, Vinod Kumar Meena, and Vikas Goyal, Kuku’s apps have received over 350 million installs. More than 20,000 titles in various languages and formats are available on the platform.
Its microdrama platform, Kuku TV, has amassed over 180 million downloads and produces a large amount of short-form content in a variety of genres.
Additionally, the company is creating AI-driven content formats, such as microdramas in genres like fiction, mythology, and superhero stories.
Kuku has appointed four bankers to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore (roughly $330 million) through an initial public offering (IPO), according to media reports.
