Rs 1,000 Cr Select Credit Fund II launched by JM Financial Asset Management

JM Financial Select Credit Fund II (SCF II), a Category II AIF with a base corpus of Rs 1,000 crore and a greenshoe option of an additional Rs 1,000 crore, is JM Financial Asset Management’s second credit AIF.

Another development in the company’s growing alternative investment platform is the introduction of SCF II.

The fund will make investments in performing credit opportunities in a variety of industries, concentrating on businesses with reliable promoter track records, solid business fundamentals, and steady cash flows. By using this approach, SCF II hopes to give investors appealing risk-adjusted returns while offering structured credit solutions to reputable companies.

Amit Dharod, Managing Director, Alternative Assets at JM Financial Asset Management, who joined the company last year from Ascertis Credit (formerly BPEA Credit), will spearhead the strategy. With more than 25 years of experience, Dharod has worked for organizations like the Royal Bank of Scotland, GE Capital, and ICICI Bank.

In order to obtain unique deal flow and improve origination capabilities, the fund will also make use of JM Financial Group’s integrated ecosystem spanning investment banking, capital markets, and credit.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) released data showing that the AIF sector in India is still growing quickly, with total commitments as of December 2025 totaling Rs 15.74 lakh crore.
