AI-native legal infrastructure platform NYAI raises $1.5 M Seed funding

With the help of strategic angel investors and a group of well-known Indian family offices, the AI-native legal infrastructure platform NYAI has received $1.5 million (about Rs 13 crore) in a seed investment round.
According to a press release from NYAI, the new funds will be utilized for technology development, growing its AI native compliance ecosystem, bolstering its presence among businesses, listed companies, and law firms, and supporting the deployment and assurance functions these organizations need.
NYAI is a compliance-focused legal AI and regulatory intelligence platform that was founded in March 2025 by Chinmay Bhosale and Vikrant Labde. It provides citation-based legal research, contract analysis, and automated document preparation specifically designed for the Indian legal system.
The Pune-based business claims that millions of Indian court rulings, tribunal opinions, acts, laws, and regulatory changes are used to train its AI models. Verifiable citations, audit trails, and source integrity are given precedence over basic text production on the platform. Additionally, it helps with real-time policy tracking, contract preparation, and case document summarization.
According to NYAI, its design maintains sensitive legal data inside the client’s environment, facilitates on-premises deployment, and interfaces with businesses’ current large language model infrastructure. The business further stated that their platform is made to function within businesses’ current legal workflows while producing outputs that are supported by citations.
According to market data that the company referenced, listed corporations alone are responsible for more than Rs 1.65 lakh crore in value erosion annually, while Indian enterprises together face an estimated Rs 95,000 crore in legal and regulatory penalties.
