AI-powered water infrastructure platform DigitalPaani raised Rs 22 Cr from Navam Capital
With participation from Enzia Ventures, Chakra Growth Capital, 3one4 Capital, Momentum Capital, Achieving Women Entrepreneurs Early Growth Fund, and Echo River Capital, the AI-powered water infrastructure platform DigitalPaani has raised Rs 22 crore in a fundraising round headed by Navam Capital.
According to a news statement from DigitalPaani, the additional funds will be utilized to increase market penetration in the industrial and municipal sectors, scale operations to accommodate its expanding institutional clientele, and start worldwide expansion.
Mansi and Rajesh Jain co-founded DigitalPaani in 2020, which offers an operating system for wastewater and water infrastructure. Its technology helps businesses, municipalities, and utilities increase water recycling, lower operational losses, and avoid equipment failures by combining AI-driven insights with real-time asset monitoring.
The Gurugram-based startup claims that their platform finds inefficiencies and automates tasks pertaining to teams, equipment, maintenance, and inventories by comparing real-time operational data to how each asset is intended to function.
According to DigitalPaani, it treats more than 150 million liters of water every day for more than 95 institutions. Britannia, Leela Hotels, Tata Group, and Delhi Jal Board are among its customers. According to the company, its deployments have resulted in cost savings of up to 25% and helped turn non-compliant operations into fully functional assets. Over the last two years, its revenue has increased by over six times.
Another firm in the infrastructure digitization field is Ubiqedge. In April of this year, Piper Serica led a seed financing of Rs 10 crore to expand its AIoT platform for infrastructure, including water systems. More than 23,000 borewells have been digitized, according to the business.
In August, Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office led a $5.5 million Series A1 investment for Solinas Integrity, an IIT Madras-incubated company. The business inspects, cleans, and digitizes subterranean water, wastewater, and sanitation infrastructure using robotics and artificial intelligence.
