Airwallex raises $320 M in Series H, valuation increases to $11B

Australian fintech Airwallex has raised $320 million in a Series H funding round, pushing its valuation to $11 billion—a significant increase from its $8 billion valuation in December 2025.

Baillie Gifford, Hummingbird, QED Investors, T. Rowe Price, Hedosophia, Haun Ventures, Washington University in St. Louis, and Amex Ventures participated in the round, which was led by returning investor Addition, according to a statement released by Airwallex on Friday.

The investment will enable Airwallex to scale teams developing its AI-native financial software, expand its infrastructure and regulatory footprint into new areas, and expedite product development across autonomous finance and agentic commerce.

AI is closing the operational gap between well-resourced organizations and individual founders, according to Jack Zhang, co-founder and CEO of Airwallex. AI agents can now access technologies that previously required massive worldwide teams. However, that is only doable with the correct financial infrastructure, since cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, and multi-jurisdiction compliance require licenses, banking connections, and direct integrations with local payment networks, rather just AI prodding.

According to Zhang, Airwallex has spent ten years developing its proprietary infrastructure, which currently consists of more than 85 licenses, direct integrations into 160 local payment networks, and payout capabilities to more than 200 countries. With the help of its investors, the company is now constructing an intelligent layer on top of that foundation.

Alongside the funding announcement, Airwallex introduced two new products. T:0 is an AI-native financial platform built to manage a business’s entire finance function—from bookkeeping and forecasting to tax, compliance, and reporting—from day one. The platform is currently in private beta.

Meanwhile, Airi is an agentic consumer wallet that builds on Airwallex’s existing one-click checkout technology, which has increased successful checkout conversions by up to 14% in early merchant trials. Over time, Airi is expected to expand into a broader infrastructure for agentic commerce, supporting features such as delegated AI agent payments and customizable spending limits.

In March 2026, Airwallex generated $1.3 billion in annualized revenue, up 74% from the previous year, and $287 billion in annualized transaction volume, up more than 120%. Customers that use multiple Airwallex products now account for over 90% of the company’s income.
