Applications for EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs being accepted from African startups

In order to support the scaling of women-led AI solutions for social impact and enable inclusive finance, African startups have been invited to apply for this year’s EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs.

Supporting women-led AI initiatives that complement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote solutions that address climate change, enhance livelihoods, and create resilient communities throughout the Global South is the aim of the EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs.

In Africa, Latin America, and South/Southeast Asia, it will identify and support five women-led AI-driven impact businesses over a six-month period. In order to tackle the pressing issues facing the world today, such as food insecurity, social and economic inequality, and climate change, these impact enterprises must be utilizing AI responsibly and for good.

Prominent industry partners will facilitate capacity-building sessions, professional technical workshops, and a dedicated one-on-one EY business coach for the chosen entrepreneurs. In addition, they will have access to a global network of corporates, investors, and social innovators; frequent peer-to-peer calls to create a global community; and sporadic chances to participate in events, promotions, and collaborations with outside partners.

The deadline for applications is June 15th.
