Applications open for Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme

The Africa–EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP) Business Innovation Programme is now accepting applications for entrepreneurs developing an Earth Observation (EO) solution for Africa’s infrastructure, energy, water, agriculture, or climate issues.

The European Commission funds the AESPP, a co-owned African-European project, as part of the Global Gateway initiative. AESPP provides capacity building, innovation support, and connections to investors and partners to African EO startups and SMEs through its Continental Innovation activity, which is jointly carried out by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the African Space Agency.

For Africa-registered EO downstream companies, whether they are startups, growth-stage SMEs, or established SMEs, the Business Innovation Programme, co-led with GrowthAfrica, will offer a 12-month support journey.

A pan-African and European network of investors and partners, 12 months of innovation support and committed mentoring, and EUR20,000 (US$23,000) milestone-based funding are all available to chosen companies.
