Aswan Bootcamp Series to empower startups in Upper Egypt
A new program called the Aswan Bootcamp Series has been introduced with the goal of empowering business owners in Upper Egypt and fostering the tech-driven development of the area.
The Aswan Bootcamp Series, which is sponsored by USAID, Plug and Play Egypt, and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), was launched at a launch event at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Aswan by Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
By equipping startups with essential skills and services in market development, financial management, product-market fit, and scalability, the goal is to improve economic development in Upper Egypt. In order to establish Aswan as a possible regional tech hub, the program seeks to close resource and network gaps in the city’s developing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Five eight-day in-person bootcamps make up the Aswan Bootcamp Series, which will mentor tech-enabled startups one-on-one with founders and mentors with years of experience. Startups in industries like agri-tech, health-tech, e-commerce, gov-tech, and tourism are the focus of the program.
It is anticipated that more than 60 startups will acquire the abilities and know-how required for long-term growth and sound governance by utilizing Plug and Play’s global network of professionals to assist participants in crucial areas like financial management, product-market fit, scalability, and commercialization.
Founders will have access to ongoing mentoring and networking opportunities with seasoned mentors and possible investors after the bootcamp. Additionally, they will be exposed to Cairo’s well-established entrepreneurial ecosystem, which will aid in the development of a network that may result in future partnerships and vital resources.
