Aum Ventures led Rs 17 Cr funding raised by Bengaluru-based spacetech startup OXG Space

Bengaluru-based spacetech startup OXG Space has secured Rs 17 crore in a funding round led by Aum Ventures through its India Innovation Fund II.
The investment round also included Skyroot Aerospace co-founders Pawan Kumar Chandana and Bharath Daka, along with Cosmoserve founder Dr Chiran Phanindra.
The startup will use the proceeds to advance Mission Synapse, a 12-month initiative aimed at demonstrating its key technologies in orbit. The programme will test a Ka-band phased-array antenna designed to deliver an initial link capacity of 1 Gbps, a deployable mesh reflector for ground connectivity and a deployable solar array to supply power to computing and communication payloads.
Founded by former ISRO engineers Akash Shetty and Sanjay Gorur, OXG Space is developing an orbital network that integrates satellite connectivity with in-space computing. The platform is designed to process Earth observation (EO) data and provide intelligence with minimal delay.
At present, EO satellites generally store collected imagery until they establish contact with ground stations, creating a lag of around 4–12 hours between data collection and the availability of insights.
OXG Space is developing its solutions for defence, intelligence and commercial satellite operators. Its technology aims to consolidate information from multiple satellites while in orbit, allowing optical, radar and signals-intelligence data to be analysed more quickly.
The company’s founders collectively bring over 17 years of experience working on India’s space programmes, including spacecraft systems developed for Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3.
