Avaana Capital led Rs 43 Cr Pre-Series A funding raised by deeptech company DheyaTech

Bengaluru-based deeptech startup DheyaTech has secured Rs 43 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital. Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing also participated in the round.
The company plans to deploy the new capital towards increasing production capacity, establishing an integrated testing facility for its gas turbine engines and working with customers in India and overseas to shorten deployment timelines, according to a company press release.
Founded in 2018 by Gurushankara K C, Abhinav Alva and Chetan Kumar, DheyaTech develops micro gas turbine engines and energy systems for applications in aerospace and power generation. Its engine range covers thrust levels from 20 kgf to 400 kgf and is designed for use in aerial mobility, advanced aerial platforms and distributed power systems.
DheyaTech said its gas turbine technology is now moving towards commercial deployment, with flight trials scheduled for Q4 2026. The company has also secured confirmed orders from both Indian and international original equipment manufacturers.
Among its technology developments is an adaptive Engine Control Unit (ECU). DheyaTech is also developing fuel-flexible and hydrogen-based solutions for propulsion and power generation. Its product portfolio includes a hydrogen blower and a hydrogen-based flexi-fuel combustor designed for its 60 kW flexi-fuel turbogenerator.
The company said its platform-based development model enables it to build engines across different thrust ranges and application areas.
DheyaTech’s latest funding comes as several Indian startups are developing technologies around gas turbines and propulsion. Bengaluru-based Nabhdrishti Aerospace, which is developing fuel-flexible micro gas turbines for aviation, UAVs and power generation, raised $3 million in a seed round led by Accel in March 2025. The company had previously raised Rs 3 crore in a pre-seed round led by IIMA Ventures.
LAT Aerospace, founded by Surobhi Das and Deepinder Goyal, is working on lightweight gas turbine engines for its STOL aircraft programme, with Goyal investing $20 million in the venture. Meanwhile, Hyderabad-based Paninian unveiled its 4.5 kN Yantur turbofan programme in 2026, targeting autonomous aerospace and defence platforms.
