Binny Bansal Institute launched by Plaksha University for Inventing the Future

The Binny Bansal Institute for Inventing the Future (IIF) was established by Plaksha University, an Indian technology university for higher education and research.

The founder of Flipkart and xto10x, Binny Bansal, has contributed Rs 70 crore ($8 million) in startup capital to establish IIF.

The institute uses cutting-edge technologies like robotics, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI) to solve real-world issues.

IIF will concentrate on areas like environmental sustainability, clean energy, healthcare, and agriculture. It intends to translate research into useful solutions, support AI talent in India, and foster collaborations between businesses and academic institutions to commercialize ideas.

IIF and the University of California, Berkeley have worked together. Joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and shared learning will all be made possible by the partnership.

According to Binny Bansal, the institute embodies his conviction that technology can enhance people’s lives. IIF is a significant step in positioning India as a leader in deep-tech innovation, according to Prof. Shankar Sastry, UC Berkeley professor and founding chancellor of Plaksha.

With the help of influential business and technology figures from around the world, Plaksha University hopes to transform technology research and education in India by promoting innovation, interdisciplinary study, and hands-on learning.
