Coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines raises Rs 50 Cr led by Sedna HoReCa

Coffee equipment and services company Kaapi Machines has entered into a strategic relationship and received a Rs 50 crore equity infusion from Sedna HoReCa (Sedna), a B2B HoReCa solutions provider backed by private equity.

It is anticipated that the agreement will improve Kaapi Machines’ technological stack, warehouse, and service infrastructure, as well as broaden its product line and bolster its manufacturing capabilities.

Using Sedna’s capabilities, the company also intends to investigate certain prospects in related product categories for its current clientele.

Coffee companies and the larger farm-to-cup coffee ecosystem are served by Kaapi Machines, which is run by Abhinav Mathur. Large café chains, QSRs, specialty coffee roasters, hotels, shops, corporations, and coffee vending companies all throughout India are among its clientele.

The company intends to help both new and existing HoReCa enterprises with its product portfolio, training programs, R&D skills, and after-sales support as coffee consumption in India continues to rise.

Commercial blenders, roasters, grinders, and automatic and semi-automated espresso machines are among the equipment supplied by Kaapi Machines. For companies including La Marzocco, Mahlkæ, Rancilio, and Probat, it serves as the official distributor. In addition, the company runs the Something’s Brewing e-commerce platform for home brewers and provides barista training, latte art classes, technical maintenance and repair services, and advice for new cafés.
