Paediatric healthcare startup Hoola Health raises $5 M funding from Peak XV’s Surge

Formerly known as BabyMD, the pediatric healthcare business Hoola Health has raised $5 million in a funding round headed by Peak XV’s Surge, with participation from angel investors like Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, and Bijou Kurien as well as current backer W Health Ventures.

The additional funds will be utilized to scale its integrated pediatric care approach, improve technology capabilities, and enter new markets.

Hoola Health was established in 2024 by Deeksha Senguttuvan and runs child-focused clinics that include pediatric consultations, immunizations, diagnostics, developmental treatments, and specialized care.

The business integrates digital tools for developmental monitoring, growth tracking, vaccination records, and medications with physical clinics.

In just 18 months since its founding, the Bengaluru-based company has serviced over 20,000 families through its five clinics. The firm claims that more than 60% of monthly visits are from returning families, and more than 60% of new patients are referred by word-of-mouth.

The increased demand for integrated child healthcare services is reflected in Hoola Health’s claim that developmental therapies account for over 35% of its income.

Over the following two years, the company intends to open thirty more clinics in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR. Additionally, it plans to grow into additional services, such as dental treatment for children.

In addition to the investment announcement, the firm changed its name from BabyMD to Hoola Health in an effort to increase its reach throughout various phases of child development and healthcare.
