Five percent stake in TrueFan AI acquired by Bajaj Finance

A 5% share in TrueFan AI, an AI-powered video creation platform, has been purchased by Bajaj Finance, a division of Bajaj Finserv.

In June of this year, the Gurugram-based business raised $10 million in a Series A fundraising round headed by Z3 Partners and Baring Private Equity Partners India.

Devender Bindal, Nimish Goel, and Nevaid Aggarwal founded TrueFan AI in 2020 to provide a business AI video platform that employs generative AI to produce highly customized, studio-caliber films and avatars from a single recording. Over 100 corporate clients use the platform to scale video marketing in international markets.

Beyond India, TrueFan AI intends to grow into the US, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. According to the company, demand from these markets has already been observed. Its deep-learning algorithms create up to 500,000 localized movies every minute in over 175 languages by synthesizing speech, gestures, and facial dynamics.

More than 100 business clients, such as HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Zomato, Cipla, and BharatPe, are served by the startup. Through celebrity avatars, corporate executives, and corporate spokespersons, the platform allows businesses to produce AI-powered customized videos at scale.

TF Studio, the company’s primary product, allows marketers to use realistic brand ambassador avatars, localize material for various regions, and produce customized messages in mass.

In FY25, TrueFan AI recorded earnings of Rs 17.1 crore, or almost $2 million. Year over year, revenue increased by 131%.

With the large-scale deployment of TrueFan’s platform, Bajaj Finance has produced millions of customized films for dealer enablement and customer engagement programs. Additionally, it helps Bajaj Finance implement AI-driven automation and personalization throughout its digital ecosystem as part of a larger plan.
