Gaming startup Exiles Interactives raises $355K Pre-seed funding

In a pre-seed funding round headed by Chimera VC, gaming startup Exiles Interactives has raised $355,000. Angel investor Dhruv Vohra, Warmup Ventures, IndigoEdge, and current shareholder Sourav Gupta are among the other participants.
The money raised will go toward marketing and the development of its gaming platform, Centarius.
Exiles Interactives, a Bengaluru-based company, is developing Centarius, a cross-device browser-based social gaming platform. In order to increase user retention, the platform provides a variety of mid-core games with social, community, and competitive play features.
Rather than using an open web aggregation model, Centarius functions as a curated gaming platform. It emphasizes social interaction and gameplay driven by retention. By eliminating the limitations of native app store policies and distribution restrictions, the platform seeks to give independent developers access across browser, PC/console, and mobile platforms.
To boost user adoption, the company intends to work with game developers on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Exiles Interactives will increase marketing after launch by participating in gaming industry events and engaging with the community.
Kongregate, CrazyGames, Poki, Roblox (browser ecosystem), Steam Web, and other browser and cloud gaming platforms are competitors of Exiles Interactives. It focuses on carefully chosen mid-core social games that don’t require downloads.
