At a $6 million valuation, Genovation Technological Solutions, a deeptech startup specializing in creating privacy-first AI systems, has raised $150,000 in a pre-seed round. Six individual investors and one foreign institutional investor participated in the round.
The money will be utilized to boost R&D, grow the team, scale market presence, and expedite product development. The goal of Genovation is to provide Agentic AI solutions for high-stakes industries like manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and defense at a fraction of the global cost, assisting businesses in making better decisions and operating more efficiently.
Mentis, the first Made-in-India, privacy-first agentic AI platform on the subcontinent, was created by Genovation, which was founded in 2021 by Anurita Das. Mentis can function flawlessly in cloud, on-premise, and fully offline environments, removing the need for external APIs and guaranteeing data security, in contrast to traditional generative AI.
For complete transparency and auditability, the system offers downloadable reports and source code, interprets natural language queries, and provides insights supported by citations.
The core of Genovation’s business strategy is to provide enterprise-ready AI systems with total privacy at 15 times lower prices than major players like OpenAI and Anthropic’s Claude.
