Great Indian Festival 2021 announced by Amazon

The Great Indian Festival (GIF) 2021, hosted by Amazon.in, will begin on October 4 and will feature items from Amazon sellers under several different programmes such as Amazon Launchpad, Amazon Saheli, and Amazon Karigar, as well as major Indian and international brands across categories.

Amazon GIF 2021 is devoted to lakhs of small merchants, including over 75,000 local shops from 450 cities, who provide their unique assortment of items to customers across the nation, as part of Amazon’s mission to promote Small Medium Businesses (SMBs).

Sellers on Amazon.in are enthusiastic about this Christmas season, according to new research commissioned by Amazon India and performed by Nielsen, and 98 percent of the polled sellers indicated that technology adoption and e-commerce had favourably benefited their company. More than 78 percent of Amazon sellers polled anticipate reaching out to new consumers, with 71% expecting an increase in sales and 71% expecting a company recovery as their top expectations for the holiday season.

Over 1,000 new product launches are expected at the Great Indian Festival, including Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Sony, Apple, Boat, Lenovo, HP, Asus, Fossil, Levi’s, BIBA, Allen Solly, Adidas, American Tourister, Prestige, Eureka Forbes, Bosch, Pigeon, Bajaj, Big Muscles, Lakme, Maybelline, Forest Essentials, The Body Shop, WOW, Nivea, Dabur, P&G, Tata Tea,

Commenting on the announcement Manish Tiwary, Vice-President, Amazon India, said, “This year’s Great Indian Festival is a celebration of the resilience of local shops and small and medium sellers. Customers can enjoy a wide range of affordable options with the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, including 5% reward points with a Rs.750 joining bonus, a flat Rs.150 back along with instant credit up to Rs.60,000 when signing up for Amazon Pay Later, rewards worth Rs. 1000 back for customers who use Rs.1000 gift cards, and rewards worth Rs. 200 when adding money to the Amazon Pay balance.

For their regular business purchases or corporate gifting for clients or staff, Amazon Business customers in India will be able to take advantage of special deals, bulk discounts, lower festive pricing offers, cashback, incentives, and more. GST invoicing would save customers an additional 28% on all transactions from leading brands such as HP, Lenovo, Canon, Godrej, Casio, Eureka Forbes, and others in areas such as laptops, printers, networking equipment, office electronics, vacuum cleaners, and more.

Amazon India has established over 1,10,000 seasonal employment openings throughout its operations network to ensure safe, swift, and reliable deliveries and to meet consumer demand during the Great Indian Festival. With more than 60 fulfillment centers in 15 states supplying 43 million cubic feet to its sellers, the firm has increased its storage capacity by 40%. It also expanded its delivery infrastructure, with almost 1,700 Amazon-owned and partner delivery stations, nearly 28,000 ‘I Have Space’ partners and thousands of Amazon Flex delivery partners serving consumers in the most remote areas of the nation.
