IAN Angel Fund led Rs 5 Cr funding raised by deeptech textile startup IndigoTex

IIT Delhi-originated deeptech textile startup IndigoTex has secured ₹5 crore in a funding round led by IAN Angel Fund, with participation from SIDBI, FITT and IIT Delhi Angels.
The company will use the funds to establish manufacturing capabilities, grow its sales and operations team, and bring its textile products to market.
Founded in 2024 by Satendra Singh, Prof. B.S. Butola and Dilip Singh, IndigoTex is developing waterless wool finishing technology and wool-based fabrics. Its IndiWool Denim range blends wool with denim, offering variants with lower wool content for year-round wear and wool-rich fabrics designed for colder conditions.
The startup is also working on ECOTEX Wool, a technology aimed at making wool and poly-wool fabrics washable.
IndigoTex has established a finishing facility in the Rai Industrial Area in Sonipat, Haryana, while continuing its research and development activities at IIT Delhi’s Research and Innovation Park.
Engagements with global fashion brands
The company has signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with Ralph Lauren and France-based Kering Group. It is also in discussions with premium and luxury fashion brands, garment manufacturers, fabric exporters and sourcing companies.
IndigoTex has begun engagements in Europe and markets with colder climates, including Australia. It is also holding discussions in France, Russia and Denmark as it explores opportunities in international markets.
The startup was among 120 companies selected for Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, France, and at the BRICS Summit 2026.
