InCore Semiconductors secured $3 M Seed funding from Sequoia

Sequoia Capital India contributed $3 million to InCore Semiconductors’ seed funding round, which was held by the fabless semiconductor startup that is primarily focused on developing RISC-V-based processor solutions.

According to a press release from the company, InCore will use the funds raised to improve its portfolio of Core-Hub generators and reference SoC (System-on-Chip) platforms targeted at various embedded chip market segments.

InCore, a company founded in 2018 by G S Madhusudan, Neel Gala, Gautam Doshi, and Arjun Menon, provides turnkey processor IP solutions to its clients in a variety of strategic industrial segments, including automotive, industrial automation, and general electronics. The AEON, AEGIS, and AXON class of IPs are among their available products.

By creating highly parameterized and programmable Core-Hub Generators, which make it easier to create RISC-V compatible solutions specifically suited for particular applications, InCore has expanded upon this idea of modularity. The startup from Chennai shortens the path to market by combining the core and uncore within a Core-Hub.
