Insurtech firm Aigis shifts focus to project management, finance solutions
Aigis, a B2B insurtech firm with offices in Indonesia, has changed its direction to concentrate on offering project management and finance solutions for the creative sector via a platform named Finnix. The choice was taken when the business observed poor insurtech sector growth.
“We believe our new offering will provide a much-needed solution and help creative entrepreneurs succeed,” said the firm’s CEO Reinhart Hermanus in a statement.
Creative business owners may monitor projects, make payments, and manage their budget and financial flow using the dashboard provided by Finnix. Additionally, it collaborates with nearby P2P lending firm Cicil to offer loans to its customers.
The Finnix platform has already been utilized by 25 projects since it began restricted operations four months ago. These people include concert promoters, production companies, and event planners.
Hermanus, a former executive at Ovo and Bareksa, launched Finnix in 2021. Sebastian Yaphy, a former product manager at Ovo and Alodokter, and Philip Moniaga, a former engineer at Bloomberg and Carousell, are now working with him.
Aigis secured US $1 million in May of last year from Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, and Init 6, a venture capital firm founded by the founders of Bukalapak.
