IPV led Rs 7 Cr Seed funding raised by cybersecurity startup Zaperon

Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has secured Rs 7 crore in seed funding in a round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).
The company plans to channel the new capital into strengthening its product capabilities, introducing enterprise-grade AI security frameworks and expanding its operations in both India and the US, Zaperon said in a press release.
Founded in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal, Zaperon develops cybersecurity solutions aimed at helping enterprises prevent data breaches. Its platform takes a consolidated approach to enterprise security, allowing organisations to manage and protect their broader IT environment through a single Zaperon console.
The company brings identity security, data protection and AI governance together on one platform. This enables enterprises to regulate how users, applications and AI agents access sensitive information and interact with cloud infrastructure. Zaperon’s approach is designed to replace disconnected security controls with unified policies that take identity and context into account across both conventional digital systems and AI environments.
Market research estimates that identity and data security currently represent a global opportunity of around $16 billion. This market is expected to expand to approximately $35 billion by 2030.
Zaperon, which is headquartered in Delhi, serves enterprise customers across sectors including banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and government. These industries face significant requirements around securing sensitive information, restricting access to critical systems and meeting security and compliance standards.
Funding activity in India’s cybersecurity sector has also accelerated. Indian cybersecurity startups collectively raised $89 million through 17 funding rounds during H1 2026, almost twice the $47 million secured during the corresponding period in H1 2025.
Several cybersecurity companies have raised capital recently. QNu Labs secured Rs 200 crore in a Series A1 round led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest to scale its quantum-safe cybersecurity technology. Mitigata raised $15 million in Series B funding from Bessemer Venture Partners to expand its AI-powered cyber-resilience platform, while CloudSEK secured $10 million from Connecticut Innovations to grow its AI-driven cyber-intelligence platform.
The funding momentum has extended to companies such as Deep Algorithm Solutions, Equal, Protectt.ai and Astra Security, which have raised capital across areas including fraud prevention, identity management, mobile security and cloud penetration testing.
