Lockscreen-based advertising platform launched by Kenyan startup
Teleeza, which was launched earlier this year and has already onboarded over 55 local, regional, and worldwide publications, allowing users to simply and conveniently access personalized content on their lock screen.
The startup’s platform already has 30,000 users and is constantly increasing. Users may earn redeemable Teleeza points as part of the platform’s loyalty program, which they can use on Teleeza World, the platform’s built-in marketplace.
Teleeza co-founder James Kiruri said the business, which makes money through advertising and has only recently begun commercialization, is currently bootstrapped but will shortly begin financing in order to grow beyond Kenya.
“Teleeza is a mass-market product so we will be looking at Ethiopia, the DRC, and Nigeria next, based on population sizes,” he said.
