L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a provider of engineering services for the group, said that it will purchase L&T’s Smart World and Communication (SWC) Business.
According to a statement from the firm, the acquisition would open up opportunities for SWC’s products to reach a global audience by utilising LTTS’ extensive global network.
SWC’s portfolio will significantly enhance LTTS’ solutions, according to the release, with its end-to-end capabilities in design, architecture, build, and operation.
It further stated that the deal is subject to standard closing requirements.
S N Subrahmanyan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Larsen and Toubro Limited said, “Smart World & Communication has created a niche for itself in the domains of communications, cybersecurity, and safe & smart cities. SWC’s combination with a global engineering services player like LTTS will help expand SWC’s offerings across these areas and will help unlock new synergies for LTTS across the technology spectrum.”
