Mela Ventures and Hera Enterprise co-leads $5.5 M Series A1 funding in Solinas Integrity
In a Series A1 fundraising round co-led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office, Chennai-based deeptech startup Solinas Integrity has raised $5.5 million.
Along with follow-on investments from current supporters SVL SME Fund, which is run by SBI Ventures, Rainmatter Capital, and 8X Ventures Fund I, Luthra Group also participated in the round.
The new funds will be used to boost the company’s software infrastructure, increase manufacturing capacity, speed up product development, and meet working capital needs. Along with creating innovative robotics solutions for the water, sanitation, industrial, and defense sectors, Solinas also intends to increase its market share abroad, especially in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The IIT Madras-incubated firm, founded in 2018 by Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, develops robotics and AI-powered solutions for subterranean water and sanitation infrastructure. Endobot for pipeline inspection, HomoSEP for automated septic tank and sewer cleaning, and SWASTH AI, an infrastructure intelligence platform that employs inspection data for asset mapping and predictive analytics, are among its product offerings.
The company claims that its solutions are in use by Dubai Municipality and have been implemented in over 30 cities across 15 Indian states.
According to the company, it is also growing into related industries like defense and oil and gas, where its robots and inspection technology can be used for vital infrastructure.
In the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector, where Solinas works, utilities are depending more and more on automated inspection and maintenance equipment to lower water loss and enhance subterranean infrastructure management. The business claims that subterranean water and wastewater networks can be inspected, cleaned, digitized, and managed throughout their existence thanks to its integrated robots platform.
