Neurotech startup Sychedelic secures $3.5 M Seed funding

In a seed funding round headed by investors like TurboStart, Ideabaaz, and Praveek Ventures, as well as angel investors from India, the UAE, and the NRI community, Gurugram and New York-based Sychedelic has raised $3.5 million (roughly Rs 31.5 crore).

The new money will be used for marketing, expanding research, scaling up manufacturing, and the company’s May 2026 global Kickstarter launch.

The startup, which was founded by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya, is developing what it claims to be the first closed-loop neuromodulation wearable for daily use in the form of headphones. The gadget monitors and reacts to a user’s mental state in real time by combining neurostimulation, biometric tracking, and adaptive AI.

The wearable, according to the company, combines technologies like tDCS, binaural beats, and HRV biofeedback to produce customized neuroadaptive experiences targeted at improving focus, reducing stress, supporting sleep, and promoting general mental wellness.

Over 100 early adopters have been using the product for the past six months, according to Sychedelic, and their feedback has helped the company improve its hardware, stimulation systems, and adaptive algorithms.

Additionally, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has approved the startup’s product, granting it medical device status in India. Additionally, it has submitted international patent applications, which are presently pending.

As it gets ready for an international rollout, Sychedelic presently operates in the US and India.
