Portfolio firms received $250 M fund from East Ventures
For the first and last closings of its Growth Plus fund, which will invest in growth-stage businesses already in its portfolio, East Ventures has secured US $250 million.
The VC firm with a focus on Indonesia, which also invests in tech in Asia, stated that it will keep funding startups and growing businesses through its Seed and Growth funds, which now have a corpus of $585 million USD.
The Growth Plus fund is a component of East Ventures’ multistage investment strategy, which assisted the business in raising US $835 million for its funds over the course of the previous year.
According to East Ventures, more than 40% of its portfolio companies in the growth stage have runways beyond 2025 and 60% have either positive EBITDA or a clear path to it.
Through its initiatives and ESG practices, the company also seeks to achieve social impact and sustainable development.
Over 300 businesses in Southeast Asia have received funding from East Ventures since its founding in 2009, including the unicorns Tokopedia and Traveloka.
