Senegalese e-health startup KERA raised $10 M funding from IFC

The World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested US $10 million in Senegalese e-health firm KERA Health Platforms.
KERA is an AI-powered platform that was introduced in 2023 and links patients and healthcare service providers while digitizing and analyzing medical data.
The IFC has now offered the company a planned $10 million in investment, which will aid in the creation of its software platform. By lowering patient expenses and improving service quality through faster payments and AI-driven efficiency, KERA’s service is intended to assist disadvantaged groups, such as women and workers in the unorganized sector.
Along with funding, IFC will help KERA implement environmental and social standards, enhance governance, and set up procedures for handling employee complaints.
