Sequoia Surge led $5.25 M Seed funding raised by Gan.ai

The $5.25 million seed funding round for Gan.ai, a platform for generative artificial intelligence-based video creation, was led by Surge, Sequoia Capital India’s rapid scale-up program. Participating in the round were Emergent Ventures and other angel investors.

Gan.ai makes personalized landing pages for clients and distributes tailored videos via clients’ preferred communication channels, assisting businesses in improving the video creation process and effectively connecting with their audience.

Brands like Swiggy and the IPL team Mumbai Indians record a video once, add dynamic keywords to the script, and then use the platform to create millions of videos that are highly customized. For businesses to design shopping and payment experiences, the platform also integrates with Shopify, Calendly, Stripe, Salesforce, and Hubspot.

Located in New Delhi and established in March 2021 by Suvrat Bhooshan The seventh cohort of Surge included Gan.ai, which works with companies like Zomato, the Mobile Premier League, Samsung, Vivo, and Bajaj Auto, among others.

According to Gan.ai, it currently serves 40 clients, about 12 of whom are located in the US. 90% of the company’s revenue, according to the company, comes from India, and 10% comes from the US.
